NEIGHBORHOOD SPOTLIGHT ON ELIZABETH
Elizabeth is an unique neighborhood. It’s the only old neighborhood in Charlotte that
is named for a woman. She was Anne Elizabeth Watts. This neighborhood is known for it’s
hundred-year old trees which line the streets. Many of the homes are historic and classically
designed. In the last few years, many of these bungalows and craftman style homes have been
renovated and modernized into stylish urban retreats. Unique shopping boutiques, fine
restaurants and lively taverns add to the appeal of the neighborhood. Just blocks from uptown
and with a good mix of Myers Park charm and Plaza-Midwoods artistic flair this is the place to be.

If you are celebrating a special occasion or maybe you just want to get a little
dressed up for a night out on the town, The Fig Tree is the ideal place to
dine. French & Italian influences & inspiration make the fine cuisine so
divine. Paired with one of the wines on their award winning list
and you have a night to remember. The one thing we will say, we
never leave without ordering the Beignets. Amazing!

The tasty chicken being served at Viva Chicken is exactly what you would
want – a crispy exterior, juicy inside – both perfectly seasoned. While the name
might lead you to believe the chicken is the only star of the show, that is not the case,
they have some extremely savory sandwiches, salads & the oh so good signature sauces!
