Realtors® Care Day
[ April 22, 2016 ]
Today, hundreds of Realtors® gathered together for Charlotte’s Realtors Care Day 2016 to repair homes all around the Charlotte area for well deserving homeowners. Come rain or shine, these incredible agents come prepared to paint, hammer, dig, scrap, and really do whatever it takes. They typically work along side of builders, developers, home inspectors and project managers to make sure everything is done just as it should be. At times you can even find some of the homeowners working with everyone and really thanking volunteers for their time. It’s an experience many of us look forward to all year.
Realtors® Care Day is an initiative of the Charlotte Regional Realtor® Association Housing Opportunity Foundation.
What is Realtors® Care Day?
Realtors® Care Day is an annual home repair project that assists approximately 30 homeowners within the Charlotte area with exterior home repairs. While the biggest goal is to modify things that will add to
the safety of these homes, a nice perk is, it helps to beautify our community.
Who receives help?
The Realtors® Association works with regional Habitat for Humanity chapters and a variety of other organizations to gather the homeowners most in need.
How did Realtor Care Day come About?
From the inception in 2009, association members embraced this event. It is the largest philanthropic project ever initiated by the association’s Housing Opportunity Foundation. Before today, more than 129 homeowners have been assisted over the years.
